Broadway returns to Hancock! Join us for a joyful celebration of The Music Man, Meredith Willson’s beloved Broadway classic brimming with humor, heart, and unforgettable tunes. This all-American musical has been delighting audiences since its Tony Award–winning debut in 1957.
This special concert brings together an outstanding cast: Philip Themio Stoddard, recently seen on Broadway in the Lincoln Center revival of Camelot and acclaimed for his work across theater, opera, and film; and soprano Brittney Redler, a versatile performer and educator with a passion for musical theater, opera, and contemporary works. They’ll be joined by the exuberant Jr. Mints youth chorus and the Norway Pond Festival Singers, all under the spirited direction of Jody Simpson.

Philip Themio Stoddard
Philip Themio Stoddard is an award-winning artist known for his versatility on stage and screen. Recently seen in the Tony-nominated Broadway revival of Camelot at Lincoln Center Theater and starring Off-Broadway in the world premieres of Show/Boat: A River at the Under the Radar Festival and The Extinctionist with Heartbeat Opera, Philip is a graduate of both The Juilliard School’s Drama Division and Institute for Vocal Arts, the only artist in school history with degrees from two different divisions.
His eclectic body of work stretches from Sophocles to Suzan-Lori Parks, spanning genres from indie film to art song to improvisational magic. He has collaborated with acclaimed artists including Aaron Sorkin, Bartlett Sher, Kimberly Grigsby, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Moni Yakim, Steven Blier and the New York Festival of Song, Jeanine Tesori, Warren Carlyle, Barry Manilow, Michael Kahn, Stephen Wadsworth, Oliver Butler, Vivienne Benesch, Adam Szymkowicz, Dan Schlosberg, David Herskovits, Obie Award-winning Target Margin Theater, Ellen Lauren, and with members of the famed SITI Company and Théâtre du Soleil in Paris. He studied voice closely with the late Daniel Ferro and Marlena Malas and currently studies with Jacques Schwarz.
Philip loves traveling, cooking, and campfires. Originally from Arizona, he currently resides in New York City.
Brittney Redler
Brittney Redler is a versatile soprano, actor, and teacher whose performances span opera, concert, musical theater, and contemporary styles. She has a special passion for premiering new works in musical theater and opera that explore and blend genres, and her career reflects a balance of performance, teaching, and scholarship. Brittney earned her Ph.D. in Vocal Performance from New York University, where she focused on pedagogy, teaching efficacy, and voice science, and she also holds degrees from NYU and Ithaca College, along with training at the Summer Vocology Institute.
As an educator, Brittney has taught voice at NYU Steinhardt, directed choirs and music programs in New York, Connecticut, and South Carolina, and worked with young singers through after-school programs in the Bronx. In her private studio, she coaches a wide range of artists, from opera professionals and Broadway performers to singer-songwriters and developing voices. She also presents regularly on topics such as mindfulness for musicians, functional voice science, and strategies for healthy, expressive singing.
