After appearing as the barbershop quartet in MONP’s 2026 production of The Music Man (pictured above), the Catalyst Quartet returns to Hancock for a full concert. Blending the ringing chords and vocal precision of barbershop with songs drawn from popular music, these four award-winning singers will showcase the expressive possibilities of close harmony.
The Catalyst Quartet
The Catalyst Quartet is an award-winning barbershop quartet from New York’s Capital Region featuring Nate Finke, George Alden, Dan Hoke, and Rit Carroll. The 2024 Northeastern District champions have competed multiple times at the Barbershop Harmony Society’s international convention. In addition to performing, the quartet supports the next generation of singers through educational events, including serving as the teaching quartet for the Capital Region’s Harmony X-Plosion youth camp. MONP audiences may remember Catalyst from the 2026 production of The Music Man.
