The Norway Pond Festival Singers will sing (hum!) their final concert of the year at the Harris Center. Conducted by Jody Hill Simpson, with Mary Ann Fleming at the piano and Jim Sharrock on oboe, the singers will present the world premiere of Dublin composer Elise Grant’s newly-arranged Owl and the Pussycat. Also on the program will be selections from Massachusetts composer Ron Pererra’s charmng A Star in the Pail, settings of Cambridge poet David McCord’s impossible-to-resist poems about starfish, fossils, slow waiters, animal truisms and matters of the earth. Bret Silverman’s The Big Swing Tree is Green Again will also be featured along with Francis Poulenc’s elegantly evocative Petites Voix.
There is no admission fee but donations are gratefully accepted.
